I was lucky enough to be asked to guest blog in my friend and fellow EAV-mom’s “Moms Talk” column in East Atlanta Patch today. Thanks, Jessica!

Confessions of a Playgroup Hater

Do you have any suggestions for how to make playgroup more fun for the adults? I know, I know! Add alcohol. Trust me, that was the first thing I thought of.

Congrats on the publish! I can only imagine. I’m imagining the the “add vodka” part right now. Mmmm…

Thanks Man! I feel so legit. In fact, too legit to quit.

Hi, I stumbled across your blog after googling “why are playgroups always early in the morning?” Random, yes, but I’m a stay at home mom to my ten, almost eleven, month old little girl and get my “me” time in late at night when baby and daddy are asleep, the house is quiet, and my world is at peace. Me time = googling random crap on the internet, clearly. Haha, well, I’m glad I did. You totally speak my language, and your blog has me cracking up and nodding my head in agreement. I felt compelled to let you know that you certainly have a new fan! 🙂

You seriously made my day!! Thank you!
I totally understand the late-night me-time. I do the same thing. I stay up way too late every night just so I can have a couple of hours of undisturbed quiet time. Every few days, I say — I should really try to go to bed a little earlier so I’m not so tired in the morning, but then the night rolls around and it’s just BLISS to have a block of me time. Yawn….
